“We have such a brief opportunity to pass on to our children our love for this Earth, and to tell our stories. These are the moments when the world is made whole. In my children's memories, the adventures we've had together in nature will always exist.”

Tiny Sparks parent & toddlers

An opportunity for mini-adventurers aged 0-5 years and their families/carers to explore and enjoy the woods.

Taking inspiration from the Steiner, Waldorf, Montessori and Forest Schools approach, this session is designed to be gentle and nurturing, encouraging curiosity and wonder and with plenty of space and time to reconnect with nature.

Our activities include:

  • Den building

  • Stories

  • Singing/poetry

  • Nature crafts

  • Messy play

  • Games

  • Relaxation

  • Tea/coffee

Although there may be some structured activities, children and families are encouraged to take a child-led approach to learning, listening to each child’s preferences in what they would like to be involved in. Each session will be built around nature based stories, poetry and songs.

These are weekly sessions, running on Tuesdays 09:30-11:30.

£6 (siblings £4), under 1 year olds are free.

These sessions are currently delivered in English.  In the future we plan for this to be a bilingual session.

They will not run during the summer holidays, when we run holiday clubs and family days instead.

Please follow this link for directions.

We endeavour to work in most weathers but, if the winds are too high, we may need to cancel sessions due to health and safety.  If this occurs then we will contact you by email by 6pm the evening before the session.  Any pre-paid spaces will be transferred to subsequent sessions.
